Macalester Volleyball Sweeps Carleton on Dig Pink Night
The Macalester volleyball team recorded a straight-set victory in a home match against Carleton last Friday. The game was sponsored by the Macalester Student-Athlete Advisory Council to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. Macalester students put on the event, which featured a raffle for prizes, T-shirts for sale, and guest speakers.

As a student-athlete who was a part of the crowd that night, I can attest to the fact that the environment in the gym was absolutely fantastic. A huge part of our community—athletes and non-athletes alike—went out in support of a great cause and the team. There was an electric energy in the building all night and the student section was quick to organize cheers and songs in support of our team. Dig Pink truly epitomizes the commitment of our Athletic Department and our student body to supporting both our teams and causes that transcend athletics.
